Today we all went to the wedding of Chhen and Yon. And because Chhen is a colleague at the PDC and an intern at Panha Sabay, we joined our forces. The part started at noon but we, Neen, Soka and I were a bit late because we needed to go to the hairdresser (not for me though, that is not of any use). Because we were late we missed the group and we had to find our own way, which caused again for some delay. But fortunately the music at these parties are always very very loud, so we could just follow the noise at one point.
Chhen saw us coming. He introduced us to his parents and he showed us where the rest sat. They already had the first dish on the table. 4 more courses followed and a lot of pictures were taken. It was fun being all together, but by the time the tables were collected to make room for dancing, we decided to leave. These days the temperature is close to 40 degrees and that makes dancing just a little bit less attractive.
But it was a very nice day and we wish Chhen and Yon a lifetime of happiness together: Congratulations!
Vandaag zijn we met zijn allen naar de bruiloft van Chhen en Yon geweest. En omdat Chhen een collega is op het PDC en een stagiaire is bij Panha Sabay waren we deze keer met zijn allen. Het feest begon om 12 uur maar wij, Neen, Soka en ik waren een beetje laat omdat de haren “in de krul” moesten (niet bij mij hoor, dat heeft toch geen zin). Doordat we te laat waren op de verzamelplek moesten we de locatie zelf vinden. Dat zorgde ook nog voor wat extra vertraging. Maar gelukkig wordt de muziek bij zo’n feest behoorlijk versterkt en uiteindelijk kan je dus gewoon op het geluid af.
Chhen kwam ons al tegemoet, hij stelde ons voor aan zijn ouders en bracht ons naar de tafels van de collega’s. Daar stond het eerste gerecht al op tafel. Er volgden nog 4 gangen en nog veel meer foto’s. Het was gezellig, maar tegen de tijd dat de tafels werden weggehaald om het dansen mogelijk te maken, zijn wij met zijn allen vertrokken. Het is hier momenteel bijna 40 graden overdag, dan is dansen toch net wat minder aantrekkelijk.
Maar het was een leuke dag en Chhen en Yon, van harte gefeliciteerd en heel veel geluk samen!
