Yesterday I have started the last round (before my holiday) of “cap collection”, because otherwise my face will be absent for too long (I think). The number of caps will not be big this time, because it is clearly low season in terms of tourism.
I always start the round at Udaya Residence, which is a beautiful hotel with an impressive entrance. It is nice to come here because in the meantime I have become a little bit famous here. Everybody comes in action when I arrive; caps are brought from several places.
What I also like here, is that the people at the counter often tell me that they get positive response on the fact that Udaya collects bottle caps for a good reason. My poster about “the purpose of the caps” therefor got a special spot on the counter.
Gisteren ben ik begonnen aan mijn laatste rondje (voor de vakantie) “doppen halen” omdat ik anders mijn gezicht wel erg lang niet laat zien. Het aantal doppen zal deze keer niet zo veel voorstellen want aan alles is te merken dat het qua toerisme laagseizoen is.
Als eerste ga ik altijd naar Udaya Residence, een prachtig hotel met een indrukwekkende entree. Het is leuk om hier te komen want inmiddels ben ik een beetje beroemd hier. Iedereen komt in actie als ik arriveer; de doppen komen van verschillende plekken.
Wat ik ook leuk vind hier, is dat de medewerkers van Udaya me vaak vertellen over de positieve reacties die ze krijgen op het verzamelen van doppen om te gebruiken in speelgoed. Mijn affiche over “wat we doen met de doppen”, staat dan ook prominent op de balie.
