This week (on Tuesday) we finally got electricity in our workshop. This means we can start up the plastic shredder. In the last weeks we already collected a pile of detergent bottles. They were already cleaned and cut into smaller pieces too.
Since we need to make sure we do not mix up the different types of plastic, we start with just these bottles. It is a good exercise to test and learn more about the machine…..
The machine works, but we need to find the optimum way of using it without it getting stuck all the time. In the end we came to the conclusion that we have to work with already smaller pieces of plastic….. and so we did a lot of hand cutting too.
But we have a start!!!!!
Deze week (op dinsdag) hebben we eindelijk elektriciteit gekregen in onze werkplaats. Dit betekent dat we nu echt kunnen gaan beginnen met de shredder machine. De afgelopen weken hebben we een flink aantal wasmiddel flessen verzameld, schoongemaakt en kleiner gemaakt.
Omdat we de verschillende soorten plastic uit elkaar moeten houden, beginnen we eerst met alleen deze flessen. Het is een goed product om mee te testen en de machine te leren kennen….
De machine werkt, maar nu is het zaak om de optimale werkwijze te vinden zonder dat de machine stil valt omdat plastic zich ophoopt. We hebben intussen ontdekt dat de stukken plastic kleiner moeten worden gemaakt voordat ze goed verwerkt kunnen worden….. en dus zijn we eerst maar weer met messen en scharen aan de slag gegaan.
Maar we hebben een begin!!!!!
