Before I went to the Netherlands I was able to buy two of the machines of Precious Plastic. There was no time then to visit the place to see the machines. They were constructed in Phnom Penh and that is where they still are.
Since I am back in Cambodia I was able to make an appointment to collect the machines and bring them to Siem Reap. This will happen end of next week. But of course it is not a good idea to use the machines in my house/office….. So in cooperation with Stepping Stones and the community where Stepping Stones is located, we have chosen a place in the village to set up a small workshop. Once the location was determined we could start. The first phase was building a floor…………

Vlak voordat ik naar Nederland ging, kreeg ik de mogelijkheid om 2 van de machines van Precious Plastic te kopen. Er was toen zelfs geen tijd om de plek waar de machines stonden te bezoeken. Ze zijn namelijk gemaakt in Phnom Penh en daar staan ze nu nog.
Nu ik terug ben in Cambodja was het mogelijk om een afspraak te maken om de machines te gaan ophalen en naar Siem Reap te brengen. Dat gaat eind volgende week gebeuren. Maar het is natuurlijk niet de bedoeling om de machines te laten draaien in mijn huis/kantoor…. Dus hebben we in samenwerking met Stepping Stones en met de community waar Stepping Stones een plek gevonden waar we een kleine werkplaats gaan opzetten. Toen eenmaal was besloten waar we deze werkplaats moest gaan komen, konden we de eerste fase inzetten: het storten van een betonvloertje……..
