It has been a very long time that I wrote a blog. Times are weird, interesting but not easy. Since today the area where I live and work is in lockdown. This means that for the coming weeks I will be here mostly by myself, with the cats of course. No real problem, there’s enough to do, but I know myself and I think it’s also good to add a few challenges. One challenge is that I will write a little blog every day as long as this lockdown lasts (most probably 2 weeks). It is not easy to get correct information; my main source is all the messenger chats of expats living in Siem Reap. But from what I understand now is that I’m allowed to go buy groceries twice a week. So I will not be bored and I will not starve. There is a tiny problem though: since Wednesday my washing machine has broken down……
Het is al heel lang geleden dat ik een blog heb geschreven. Het is een vreemde tijd, interessant maar niet makkelijk. Vanaf vandaag is de wijk waarin ik woon en werk in lockdown. Dit betekent dat ik hier de komende tijd veel alleen zal zijn, met de katten natuurlijk. Geen echt probleem want er is genoeg te doen, maar ik ken mezelf en het is goed om nu een paar uitdagingen aan te gaan. Een uitdaging die ik mezelf in ieder geval opleg is dat ik zolang de lockdown duurt (in principe 2 weken) iedere dag een stukje schrijf. Het is niet makkelijk om aan de juiste informatie te komen; over de lockdown ben ik voornamelijk via Messenger chats onder expats geinformeerd. Wat ik tot nu toe weet is dat we twee keer per week boodschappen mogen doen. Dus naast dat ik me niet hoef te vervelen zal ik ook niet verhongeren. Het enige kleine probleempje dat ik nu voorzie is dat afgelopen woensdag mijn wasmachine is stuk gegaan……
