Slowly we can focus on the interior of the workshop. We have created a simple but practical cupboard (basically just a number of shelfs). These shelfs allow us to store a lot of shreddered plastic later.
Kosinh and Mr. Wet also attached a hand-made roller blind of plastic on the outside. At night and when it rains we can close the workshop with this roller blind.
The remaining thing now is electricity. Although I hope we can work with solar power in the future we chose now to get connected to the general electricity network. There is already electricity in the house of Mr. Wet but that is not sufficient for our machines. So we bought 130 meters of cable and shipped it to the village……..in Cambodia you can move this with a moto.
Zo langzamerhand kunnen we ons richten op het interieur. We hebben een eenvoudige maar praktische kast laten maken (eigenlijk niet meer dan een aantal planken). Op deze planken kunnen we straks een heleboel geshredderd plastic kwijt.
Kosinh en Mr. Wet hebben inmiddels ook een rolgordijn aan de buitenzijde aangebracht. ’s Avonds en als het regent kunnen we de werkplaats nu afsluiten.
Wat nu nog rest is, ervoor zorgen dat er elektriciteit komt. Hoewel ik hoop dat we ooit met zonne-energie kunnen gaan werken, gaan we in eerste instantie toch “gewoon” een kabel trekken. Het huis van Mr. Wet heeft wel elektriciteit, maar onvoldoende om (ook) onze machines te laten werken. Dus hebben we 130 meter kabel aangeschaft en op transport gezet……dat kan in Cambodja allemaal met een moto.
